Peter and Kira Jay: Peter's Sister and Brother Mission Calls

Peter's sister Ariel received her mission call to the Bucharest, Romania mission. She entered the Missionary Training Center last Wednesday in Provo, UT, to learn Romanian. His brother Tom received a mission call to the Joao Pessoa, Brazil mission. He will enter the Missionary Training Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil in May to learn Portuguese. One of his other younger brothers, Jared will also be sending his papers in soon.

Ariel wanted a blog to post her emails to, so I set one up for her. It is called Jay Family Missionaries. The URL is http://jayfamilymissionaries.blogspot.com/.

We all went hiking before Ariel left. It was Adlee's first time hiking. We hiked up to the 'Y' on the mountain in Provo, above BYU.

Jeni said...: Ah, Bucharest. That's where those two missionaries died a few weeks ago of carbon monoxide poisoning from a busted pilot light. Tell her to be so careful. I'm sure that will be interesting to step into a mission that has experienced loss like that. One missionary was from from American Fork, the other from Nevada.; February 16, 2010 at 10:30 AM
